Occupational Health and Safety Consultant

We seek an OHS professional to work in Sydney. The successful candidate will have strong technical, interpersonal and communication skills and sound report writing skills are essential. We are a medium sized organisation and offer the opportunity to be involved in all aspects of Occupational Health and Safety such as:

• Design and implementation of workplace processes and procedures that help protect workers from potentially hazardous work conditions
• Providing OHS action plans and systems to ensure compliance to legislative requirements and meet business needs
• Providing expert advice and assistance to identifying solutions for compliance gaps and assisting the businesses to put in place the appropriate corrective actions
• Undertake OHS audits
• Promote a positive safety culture, conduct risk assessments and inspections

About you

Attributes of the successful candidate include:

• A bachelor degree in OHS and/or related discipline
• Ideally 2 years’ experience
• An understanding of Occupational Health and Safety legislation
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Experience in OHS auditing, including asbestos and HAZMAT
• Demonstrate initiative, is highly motivated and enthusiastic, and ready and willing to embrace new challenges

Graduate Consultant

We seek to recruit a Engineer/Scientist to assist our growing team in Melbourne. The successful candidate will have with strong technical, interpersonal and communication skills and strong report writing skills are essential. We are a medium sized organisation and offer the opportunity to be involved in all aspects of contaminated land management, assessment and remediation such as:

• Project planning and delivery
• Environmental sampling and monitoring
• Report writing and client liaison
• Environmental site assessment and remediation
• Project management and budgeting
• Proposal development

About you

Attributes of the successful candidate include:

• an appropriate engineering or science degree.
• knowledge/experience of landfill basal liner and capping systems using geomembranes, geosynthetics and compacted clay liners, design reports, technical specifications, CQA Plans and Design Drawings to meet Auditor and EPA requirements, is desired
• major in hydrogeology is highly regarded
• excellent written and oral communication skills
• strong project management skills
• have a current drivers licence
• demonstrates initiative, is highly motivated and enthusiastic, and ready and willing to embrace new challenges
