On August 25th, Peter J Ramsay & Associates had the pleasure of having our annual PJRA retreat. We had an exciting day full of informative presentations and activities.
The day started with a series of informative presentations. We had in-depth presentations and discussions about climate change in Australia and the effects it has had on our environment over time presented by Associate Mark Van Schoten.Peter Ramsay, PJRA Managing Director, presented on global greenhouse gas emissions. This was followed by a presentation about the importance of information security as cyber-attacks and data breaches becoming increasingly common and the steps we need to take to protect our personal and professional data presented by Associate Andrew Green.
Lastly, we had the pleasure of hearing about Wandi the Dingo, a fascinating story of an orphaned dingo pup that fell from the sky and is now being cared for at the Australian Dingo Foundation. It is thought that Wandi was dropped by an Eagle or powerful bird. DNA testing has confirmed that Wandi is a pure Alpine Dingo (Canis lupas dingo). This presentation was a wonderful reminder of the uniqueness of Australian wildlife and the importance of conservation efforts to protect the Alpine Dingo species as Dingoes are Australia’s apex predictor and crucial to our ecosystem.
After the presentations, we wrapped up the day with a fun team outing to the bowling alley, followed by a team dinner.
